Holiday Comics

As promised a little while ago, here's three quick little strips that I did on holiday. They didn't take very long, I just wanted to catch moments. I'm not sure if I succeded or not but I think they were worth while to do.
The first (below) was drawn watching the waves crashing up against the sea wall. The house we were staying in was just across the way from the shore, and I think this was out second night. The sea was really rough and the waves were coming up very high. I wanted to capture it.

This one was drawn on a walk along the coast toward Dunstanburgh Castle. The mist was rolling and the castle was looking quite creepy...but I didn't draw that. Instead I was watching Black Headed Gulls catching fish. They would circle for a little while looking for fish and then suddenly just drop from the sky into the sea, a merging a few seconds later with a fish. Amazing.

And finally, this last little comic is supposed to be my lovely fiancee charging after a beach ball as it sped down the beach. The wind had caught it on its first throw and that was the last we saw it of. I've never seen her move so quickly.
